Careers
Several of the principal investigators from the Center for Hypothalamic Research are looking for new persons to join their teams.
These include:
- Staff Scientists at various levels of experience (research technicians, research assistants, research associates, and senior research scientists)
- Graduate students, medical students, MD/PhD students, undergraduate students, and high school/middle school students. (Most usually, the undergraduate, high school, and middle school students we have had spend the Summer months with us)
- Postdoctoral fellows
- Clinical/research fellows
Depending on the type of position, prior experience with genetically-engineered mouse models and related breeding strategies, mouse behavioral studies, stereotaxic brain surgery, chemogenetics, optogenetics, in vivo fiber photometry, histology, cell culture, and/or bioinformatics is recommended but not required.
